On the weekend of September 19, the pink city of Jaipur turned purple (for the right reasons!) with the
Kellogg-alums in India coming together for the annual alumni reunion. The KACI annual offsite, which is in its fourth year running, is growing successfully with each passing year and has become a focal point for alums to catch up with each other.
The 2014 event was held at Jaipur, where over 60 alums from all over India and various batches met, networked and had fun over two days. The event saw alums from batch of ‘81 to batch of ‘14 share stories, exchange ideas, laugh, and drink and make merry along with their families at Lebua, a spa resort architecturally inspired by the famous Jantar Mantar (Sun dial).
The two-day event kick started on Sep 19, Friday noon, with folks arriving from all over India and joining for lunch. And the KACI 2014 offsite formally started on Sep 20, day two, with the introduction of the new KACI members – Kunjal Modi (President, 08, Mumbai), Jagdeep Nadig (Vice-President, 09, Bangalore), Shashank Jain (Treasurer, 03, Delhi), Rajdeep Chimni (Secretary, 08, Delhi), Gayatri Buddha (Joint Secretary, 13, Delhi). In a day that was packed with networking and fun events, it was great to know that few more participants decided to join in the last minute upping the excitement quotient!
As we wrapped up the day’s first session with group photos, lunch and more chatter, it was time for more action. The evening titled “DangerVerse” was not for the dull at heart because it required one to bend iron rods and walk over fire! And the Kellogg alums lived up to their reputation as they walked over fire not once but twice and bend the rods by teaming up with their partners. The penultimate event for the weekend was also the most awaited part – “Relieving the keg” , the party started on Saturday night ended on Sunday morning!
It was a perfect end to the KACI offsite with Alumni representation from multiple cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad. The reunion ended with a farewell breakfast on Sunday and promises to meet at the 2015 KACI offsite!
With over 250 alums in India, the KACI has aggressive plans to expand its reach to new cities and play an active role in the networking and professional growth opportunities that alums seek to leverage well beyond their years of graduating from Kellogg.
